Introduction
Welcome to NumHub's Branded Calling solution. This document outlines the policies and procedures used by NumHub to onboard Branded Calling ID (BCID) registrants. The design ensures a compliant, secure, and seamless experience for all users.
Registration Process
To register for Brand Calling ID (BCID), you'll work with an Onboarding Agent to submit an application. This application will then be reviewed by a Vetting Agent.
Want to become an authorized BCID partner? You'll need to sign agreements with the CTIA and any other relevant partners.
What information is needed for the BCID application?
The application collects information about:
- You (the registrant): Your name and contact information.
- Your business: Company name, address, Agent of Record, federal and state ID numbers, details on your consumer complaint and data privacy practices.
- Financial and Business References: One financial reference confirm you pay your bills. Two business references confirm the brand display information.
-
Brand assets (Display Identity Record):
- Telephone numbers that you will use to make branded calls
- Your company name
- A logo (optional)
- One or more call reasons (also optional)
Privacy and Data Protection
NumHub and its industry partners use data collected through our Branded Calling platform to ensure a secure and efficient service. We never sell your data. We may share data with third parties only when required for auditing, onboarding, or vetting processes.
Security Measures
We prioritize the security of your data. A suite of technologies, operating on the BCID network and as part of NumHub's platform, will protect your data in transit, in storage, and during processing. This includes:
- STIR/SHAKEN: This FCC-adopted framework prevents unauthorized use of your brand assets.
- Microsoft Single Sign-On: This allows platform administrators to control who can access and manage your assets.
User Responsibilities and Compliance
BrandControl is intended for lawful use only. You agree not to use the platform to:
- Violate any law: This includes any applicable federal, state, local, or international laws and regulations.
- Exploit or harm children: This includes exposing minors to inappropriate content, asking for their personal information, or otherwise violating their safety or privacy.
- Send unwanted communications: This includes transmitting any unlawful or unwanted messages, advertising, or promotional materials, such as spam.
- Impersonate anyone: You may not impersonate NumHub, its employees, industry partners, users, or any other person or entity.
- Disrupt the platform or harm others: This includes any conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use of our Branded Calling platform, or that may harm BCID, its users, or expose them to liability.
