Detailed Changes
1. Input Field Validations in the Branded Calling Onboarding Process
-
What’s Changed:
- Business Website: Checks that entries end in recognized domains (.com, .net, .gov, .edu).
- Primary Business Domain (SIC Code): Exactly 4 digits required.
- State Professional License Number: Enforces an 8–12 alphanumeric format.
- Dun & Bradstreet Number: Strictly 9 digits.
- Phone Number: Standardized to a consistent format (e.g., (XXX) XXX-XXXX).
-
Benefit to OSPs:
- Reduced application rejections due to inconsistent or invalid data; improved overall compliance.
2. Registrant Obligations Confirmation Step
-
What’s Changed:
- Users must scroll through a summary of obligations (e.g., prohibition of SHAFT content, accurate business data).
- Mandatory certification fields (name, date, checkbox) required to proceed.
-
Benefit to OSPs:
- Minimizes compliance risks by ensuring every Registrant explicitly acknowledges their responsibilities.
3. FTP Access for High Call Volumes
-
What’s Changed:
- Implemented a secure SFTP system allowing OSPs to retrieve daily call or settlement reports automatically generated at 2 AM UTC.
- Credentials (username, password, host, port) currently sent manually—future automation is planned.
- Soft Delete after seven days to manage storage; older files are cleared.
-
Benefit to OSPs:
- Scalable, automated reporting for large call volumes, reducing the need for manual exports and streamlining your billing and data analysis workflow.
How the SFTP System Works for OSPs
-
Setting Up SFTP Access
- An account is created with read/list permissions; credentials are provided manually for now.
-
Report Generation & Availability
- Daily Reports automatically created at 2 AM UTC with the previous day’s data.
- One-Time Reports can be generated on request, but they’ll still follow the 2 AM cycle.
-
Accessing the Reports
- Connection Details (Host, Port 22, Username, Password) are shared after setup.
- File Names include Client ID, Report Type, Frequency, and Timestamp (e.g.,
Client123_ConfirmationReport_Daily_20250304.csv
). - Downloading: Use SFTP clients (e.g., FileZilla, WinSCP) to retrieve files at any time.
-
Data Retention & Security
- Soft Delete Mechanism clears reports older than 7 days, optimizing storage.
4. Custom Branding in the White-Label Portal (Partial Development)
-
What’s Changed:
- Internal work has begun on allowing OSP admins to upload logos, adjust color themes, and preview changes in real time.
-
When to Expect It:
- Official release targeted for Sprint 1.3.2 in early April.
-
Benefit to OSPs (future):
- Consistent branding experience for your end-users, with quick in-platform customization.
Impact of Sprint 1.3.1
- Reduced Input Errors: Validations help standardize data and avoid wasted time correcting forms.
- Compliance Confirmation: Registrant obligations step clarifies rules and ensures accountability.
- High-Volume Reporting: SFTP system offers scalable and secure retrieval of detailed call data.
- Brand Flexibility in the Works: Lays the foundation for robust custom branding options next sprint.
