Sprint Duration: June 9 – June 27
Planned Release Date: Second week of July
Detail Changes:
1. Document Uploads Now Crucial for In-House Vetting
- Step 7 of the BCID application includes an option to upload documents, which is now critical due to the in-house vetting process.
- Required Documents: OSPs and Enterprises must upload supporting documents proving number ownership. Accepted files include recent invoices, phone bills, or any record that validates number control.
- Impact: Applications without proper documentation will trigger errors and delay processing.
- Action Required: Begin uploading documentation immediately—even before it becomes a system requirement—to speed up the vetting process.
2. Role Management for OSPs and Enterprises
- OSP Admins can now manage users within their organization more effectively.
- OSP Admin Role: Grants full access to:
- Submit BCID applications
- Register deals
- View reports
- Manage users
- Adjust settings
- Enterprise Role: OSPs can now assign users to a specific enterprise. For example, if one enterprise has three team members needing access, the OSP can add them individually.
- Upcoming Capability: A toggle option will allow OSPs to hide the Display Identity section from their enterprise users.
- If you’d like this disabled for your enterprises now, please contact our team.
3. Enhanced API Documentation
- We’re actively improving our API documentation to:
- Clean up formatting
- Add title and description clarity
- Define parameters clearly
- Include JSON samples for requests/responses
- Explain each endpoint’s use case
- Goal: Ensure OSP partners can confidently integrate without needing extensive back-and-forth.
4. New: Add Display Identities Without Reapplying
- New Button: “New Display Identity” is now being added to the Display Identity section (OSP-only feature).
- Process:
- Step 1: Select the company
- Step 2: Choose an approved BCID application to attach the new identity to
- Benefit: Instead of resubmitting a 7-step BCID application, users now only fill out Step 7 again:
- New number(s), display name, logo, call reason
- Upload LOA and supporting documentation
- This triggers a new vetting workflow only for that identity.
- Once approved:
- It will appear as Active in the Display Identity dashboard
- It will be linked back to the original BCID application
5. Real-Time Notifications for Display Identity Status
- Users will now receive notifications when:
- A new display identity request is submitted
- It is approved or rejected
- If rejected: Users can make adjustments and resubmit directly.
6. Display Identity API Sync Improvements
- We are building backend functionality to:
- Ensure new display identities are registered directly with the BCID ecosystem APIs
- Allow change requests (e.g. logo updates or name corrections) to be passed through automatically
7. Internal Vetting Tool Enhancements (For Faster Approvals)
- Though internal, this effort benefits you directly.
- We’re upgrading our vetting workflow and logic to:
- Improve efficiency
- Accelerate approvals
- Minimize back-and-forth with OSPs/enterprises
8. Known Issue: Deal Registration Login Link Bug
- Some OSPs experience issues when trying to resend login links from the Deal Registration section.
- Status: We expect this to be resolved through updated role assignments (OSP Admin vs. Enterprise).
Reminder: If your enterprise clients need access to more than one user, or you want to manage visibility of Display Identity features, take advantage of the new role management capabilities or reach out for support.
We’ll continue to refine and test all features for release during the second week of July. If you have questions, reach out to our team for guidance on adoption and best practices.
