Quick Peek – What We’re Working On

Sprint 2.9.1 is primarily focused on introducing reseller support within the BCID white-label portal and improving the reactivation experience for previously deactivated BCID applications.

During this sprint, we are working on:

• Building the first reseller workflow for OSP partners
• Adding reseller visibility across APIs and webhooks
• Improving the BCID application reactivation flow after deactivation

Detailed Changes

⭐ High Impact Updates

These updates introduce new capabilities that can significantly expand how OSPs manage downstream customers.

1. New Reseller Support for OSPs

Summary: We are building a new reseller model that will allow OSPs to give authorized reseller partners access to their white-label portal so those partners can manage BCID applications for their own enterprise customers.

Today, the platform primarily supports a direct relationship between:

OSP → Enterprise/BPO

With this new capability, we are introducing support for:

OSP → Reseller → Enterprise

OSPs will be able to register a new deal and identify that organization as a Reseller. Once configured, the reseller will be able to log into the parent OSP’s white-label portal and submit BCID applications on behalf of its downstream enterprise customers.

As part of this implementation, we are working to ensure:

• Resellers receive the correct role and portal access
• Resellers can submit BCID applications for their enterprise customers
• New EIDs are created for the correct downstream enterprises
• OSPs maintain visibility into applications and Display Identities submitted through their resellers
• Reseller activity follows the parent OSP’s BCID relationship and white-label environment

The reseller remains underneath the OSP and does not become a separate BCID OSP.

Why this matters:

This gives OSPs a new way to support reseller, UCaaS, wholesale, and managed service business models while maintaining visibility and control over all BCID activity underneath their organization.

More details on onboarding and managing reseller users will be shared once the workflow is finalized.

2. Reseller Support Across APIs and Webhooks

Summary: We are also extending the reseller model into APIs and webhook events so integrations can clearly identify when activity originated through a reseller.

As part of the reseller implementation, we are working to ensure relevant payloads can identify:

• Whether an activity was submitted through a reseller
• Which reseller was associated with the activity
• The enterprise associated with the BCID application or Display Identity
• The parent OSP relationship

Why this matters:

OSP partners using APIs and webhooks will be able to maintain a clear hierarchy between the OSP, reseller, and enterprise in their own systems and reporting.

🔹 Additional Improvements

These enhancements improve existing workflows and make the platform easier to understand and use.

3. BCID Application Reactivation – Step 7 Reset

Summary: We are improving the reactivation flow for BCID applications that were previously deactivated.

As a reminder, a BCID application moves to Deactivated when it no longer has an active Display Identity associated with it.

If the application remains deactivated beyond the recovery window and the enterprise later wants to restart BCID service, the application must go through the vetting process again.

During reactivation, the seven-step BCID application will still be pre-populated with previously approved information where appropriate. However, we are updating Step 7 so the previous deactivated Display Identity information is no longer automatically shown.

Instead, Step 7 will require new information, including:

• Telephone numbers
• Caller Display Name
• Logo, if applicable
• Call Reason, if applicable
• Updated LOA
• Updated telephone number ownership documentation

Why this matters:

This makes the reactivation process clearer and ensures the new Display Identity is reviewed using current branding, telephone numbers, and supporting documentation rather than previously deactivated information.
