Sprint Duration: July 13 – July 31, 2026
Planned Release Date to UAT: TBD
Quick Peek – What We're Working On
Sprint 2.8.1 focuses on expanding white-label customization, improving compliance workflows, and investigating new reseller capabilities for the BCID ecosystem.
During this sprint, we are working on:
- Completing customizable email notifications across the platform
- Investigating reseller support for delegated BCID management
- Extending the Appeal to Vet workflow to ongoing compliance activities
Detailed Changes
⭐ High Impact Updates
These initiatives introduce new capabilities that will expand how OSPs manage their BCID customers.
1. Customizable Notification Branding (Phase 2)
Summary: We are completing the Notification Center introduced in the previous sprint by enabling branding customization across all supported platform notifications.
Building on the new Notifications section, we are extending branding support to every notification available within the portal.
Once completed, OSPs will be able to:
- Configure branding for individual notifications
- Use different logos, accent colors, support emails, and footer messages depending on the notification type
- Preview each email before saving changes
- Apply one branding configuration across all notifications or customize them individually
To ensure important compliance communications remain consistent, notification content and subject lines will continue to be managed by the platform while allowing full branding customization.
Why this matters:
This completes the white-label notification experience, allowing your customer communications to better reflect your own organization while maintaining consistent compliance messaging.
2. Spike: Reseller Support for BCID Management
Summary: We are investigating support for reseller organizations that manage BCID applications on behalf of enterprise customers while operating under a parent OSP.
Today, the platform assumes a direct relationship between an OSP and its enterprise customers.
With this spike, we are evaluating how the platform could support an additional reseller layer, allowing OSPs to delegate BCID management to trusted partners while maintaining ownership of the BCID relationship.
The investigation includes areas such as:
- Organizational hierarchy
- User permissions
- Enterprise ownership
- Reporting visibility
- Future scalability
This is an investigation only. No functionality is being introduced as part of this sprint.
Why this matters:
This research lays the foundation for future reseller capabilities, giving OSPs additional flexibility to support partners that manage BCID applications on behalf of multiple enterprise customers.
🔹 Additional Improvements
These enhancements continue improving compliance workflows and platform consistency.
3. Appeal to Vet Enhancements for Ongoing Compliance
Summary: We are extending the existing Appeal to Vet process to support rejected 180-Day Attestations and Annual Re-Verifications.
Today, the Appeal to Vet workflow applies to initial BCID application submissions. During this sprint, we are expanding that same experience to ongoing compliance activities.
Under the new logic:
- Rejected 180-Day Attestations and Annual Re-Verifications will follow the same 10-business-day Appeal to Vet window.
- If the appeal is completed within the allowed timeframe, the application will continue through the normal vetting process.
- If the appeal window expires, the application will require a new BCID submission before service can be re-established.
As part of this process, associated Display Identities will be temporarily deactivated while the appeal is pending and reactivated upon successful approval.
Why this matters:
This creates a consistent compliance process across the platform while ensuring active Display Identities remain aligned with approved BCID information.
Why It Matters to You
This sprint is focused on giving OSPs more flexibility and preparing the platform for future growth by:
- Completing the customizable notification experience for a fully branded white-label portal.
- Investigating reseller support to better accommodate evolving customer business models.
- Creating a more consistent Appeal to Vet process across initial applications and ongoing compliance activities.
